Frequently asked questions
Answers about prescriptions, physician review, payment and shipping. Your physician answers medical questions during your visit.
Is a prescription required?
Yes. Every product requires a prescription. An independent U.S.-licensed physician decides eligibility and dose.
Who reviews my case?
An independent physician licensed in the state where you are located at the time of your visit reviews your intake.
Will I have a live visit?
Your first visit includes a brief live telehealth call. Further live visits are required when indicated by your physician or state rules. Testosterone requires a live telehealth visit, in line with DEA and state telehealth rules.
When is my card charged?
Your card is held and charged only if a physician approves. Placing an order is a request for evaluation, not a guarantee of treatment.
Who fills my prescription?
If approved, a state-licensed U.S. pharmacy fills your prescription. Nuvara is not a pharmacy and does not compound medications.
Are compounded medications FDA-approved?
No. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. FDA does not verify their safety, effectiveness or quality. They are prepared for an individual patient on a valid prescription.
How is my order shipped?
If approved, a licensed U.S. pharmacy ships your prescription in discreet packaging.
